Become a Supporter
Join the Alliance and see your donation directly benefit the Great Lakes. Receive Alliance publications and periodic Action Alerts about issues you may want to get involved with, as well as invitations to special events.

Become a Volunteer
Check here regularly to see volunteer opportunities and internships that place you out in the field in our Chicago, Milwaukee and Grand Haven, Mich. offices.
Become a Beach Adopter
Once a year:
Take part in the world's largest cleanup during the Annual September Adopt-a-Beach Event, a one-day shoreline cleanup that helps rid our beaches of trash and helps us collect valuable data about what’s dirtying them.
All year:
Thousands of volunteers -- families, schools, businesses and community groups -- participate in the Alliance’s Year-round Adopt-a-Beach Program by conducting cleanups, litter monitoring and water quality testing at a favorite Great Lakes beach, committing to five visits per year.
Become a Business Partner
Be one of the many businesses that show their support for the Great Lakes by donating to the Alliance. Businesses that donate $1,000 or more in funds or in-kind services annually to the organization are saluted on our Business Partners page.
Become a Great Lakes Educator
The Alliance's newly updated Great Lakes in My World educational curriculum is designed to promote understanding of the Great Lakes among our children, as it's imperative they learn the value of protecting this large, yet fragile, web of life.
Become an Organization Ally
Already part of a group whose work touches the Great Lakes? From community-based environmental organizations to religious groups, trade associations, museums, schools and sporting clubs, more than 200 organizations work with the Alliance on behalf of the Great Lakes.
