Wisconsin's "Unsafe" Swimming Beaches Targeted The following is a list of public beaches the Alliance is recommending for listing or retaining on Wisconsin's impaired waters list. Beaches deemed "unsafe for swimming" are beaches that have been closed or under an advisory for 14 days or more. The information is taken from 2008 U.S. EPA data reported by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
