Annual September Adopt-a-Beach™ Cleanup
Take Part in the World's Largest Cleanup:
| What? Beach and shoreline cleanups involving thousands of volunteers to remove trash and collect data on their findings. When? Saturday, September 25, 2010, 9 a.m. to noon (Dates may vary based on location.) Where? Beaches and tributaries along Great Lakes coastal areas in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Who? You! Cleanup volunteers are individuals, families, schools, community, scouting and religious groups.
Why? Have fun giving back to the places you care about. The Great Lakes' shoreline and beaches are in our backyards. The event is more than just a cleanup-it's a celebration of the Great Lakes! The information gathered is used to make positive changes for our Great Lakes. |
